Surah Ta Ha (Ta Ha) 20 : 91

قَالُوا۟ لَن نَّبْرَحَ عَلَيْهِ عَٰكِفِينَ حَتَّىٰ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ

Explanatory Note

Rather than follow his advice, they evaded their responsibility and abandoned their commitment to obey their prophets, saying: “By no means shall we cease worshipping it until Moses comes back to us.” (Verse 91) Thus Moses returned, sorrowful and angry. He listened to his people’s excuses which revealed the extent of their twisted logic. In his anger, he turned to his brother dragging him by his head and beard, crying in his anger
