يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَحْلِفُونَ لَهُۥ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ ۖ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ ۚ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ
Saheeh Int. : On the Day Allah will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you and think that they are [standing] on something. Unquestionably, it is they who are the liars.

Description
<p><strong>Explanatory Note.</strong></p> <p>The surah describes their abject and miserable position on the Day of Judgement when they will swear to God as they used to swear to people: <strong>"On the day when God will raise them all from the dead, they will swear before Him as they swear now fore you." </strong>This description suggests that hypocrisy had become so entrenched in their hearts that it would remain with them on the Day of Judgement, in the presence of God who knows people's deepest secrets and innermost thoughts: <strong>"Thinking that they have something to stand upon,"</strong> when they actually stand on nothing, not even thin air.</p>
